How Long will it Take?

It can take as little as 5 days to create your site but it all depends upon how fast you can provide me with your information to populate it. The average time is about a week to 10 days from start to the moment your site goes live. As the your website is being built it will be uploaded to our test site for you view and you can watch it develop and make any changes to content as and when required.

Here you will be able to see websites I am currently developing in various stages of completion on my test site. This is where I develop the site until it has been approved by the client when it will then go live with a domain name that I shall purchase that is included of the package. Usually websites take between 5 to 10 days from start to completion.

When Do I Pay? Nothing at First!

You Pay nothing to begin with. The website is built and uploaded onto my test site. Once the test site has been completed to a point when it can be uploaded and approved by you then at that point I will require payment of £149 in full. I will send by email a paid invoice receipt when I have received you payment. Once I have received your payment, as part of the package I purchase the first year's hosting, and domain name (this will be owned by you) in your name and then upload the test site so that it goes live. It will require some tweaking to add statistics and email form functionality, but that will take less than a day.

Do not expect your website to be on the first page of search engines yet, as search engine robots as they are called, only index websites on a periodic basis. However, I expect that within two weeks you will be on the search engines, and if you are not on the first page I will continue to do some more tweaking until it is.

How I Build Your Site

Phone or eMail me

To discuss your requirements and the look and feel of your website. I recommend a dark background for artists and photographers because your pictures show up better than on a white background.

I Protype Your Website

I build a prototype of the website and upload it to my test site for you to view and comment. It will only consist of the first page and will contain sample content that may reflect your site profile. No links will be operative at this time.

You Tell Me To Proceed

If you approve of the design I will proceed with your website. You will need to provide me with content and images (for your paintings, photo works or modelling photos). You can email me these or send them on a CDROM or memory stick (preferred). There is no charges at this time for my work.

Test Website is Approved

I will build the website with the content you have provided and when you have approved it, then we shall be ready to go live.

Payment of £149

When you have decided that the website is ready to go live (some features may not be working until you have a domain name), then I will require payment of £149. You can send me a cheque or pay on line (Paypal).

Your Website Goes Live

Once I have received payment I will immediately purchase your hosting and domain name. Your cheque does not need to clear before I do this. I then upload your test site to your domain name and add the emailing functionality and statistics. I will send you an email with all the details. Once your payment has cleared I will send you a paid invoice receipt.

Maintenance

Maintenance is FREE for the first year. What this means is that for existing pages I will make any changes you want for a year without charge. I will also monitor your search engine ratings and tweak your website until it is on the first page of major search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

At the End of the Year

At the end of the year you have two options. The domain name and hosting is in your name and the hosting company www.one.com will request a renewal payment of about £20 total for another year. You can pay this and that is all, but now your maintenance is no longer active. However, for a £50 renewal fee, I will pay this for you and maintain your website as before for another year.
